So Much Corruption, So Little Time!

While I would love for political blogging to be my only job, it cannot be at this time! I have neglected my writing because just when I might have time to write, things in the news change and I cannot keep up! This is no excuse; there is so much going on, I must write about them as they are happening.
As you know, Tuesday night brought a monumental shift of power in DC. Many will argue that Coakley was to blame for her loss, while others blame Obama. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you have seen that they both contributed. The election in Massachusetts was very similar to the one that gave us our great, wonderful, awesome President! The Republican votes that were cast for Obama in November 2008 were more about the Republican party than they were about him. Yes, he was charismatic, gave great speeches, the first black candidate to come that far…….those were all part of the equation. More than any of that though, he was not a Republican! Americans were so frustrated and angry at the leadership heading out of Washington that they wanted whomever was the farthest from Bush and even Republicans in general. That is what happened Tuesday. The people of Massachusetts are angry at the leadership in Washington, angry at Obama, angry at the Democrats, so they did what Republicans did In November 2008. They voted for the farthest candidate from them. Will it be a wake up call for Obama and his cronies, probably not, they don’t seem to think it was about them. That is the best thing that could happen; I would rather them think it wasn’t about them. They can think that all the way into the 2010 election season!
So rest easy Coakley, there isn’t much you could have done to change the outcome of that election. Your days were numbered anyway, everyone knows how passionate your state is about baseball. I knew you were going to lose the minute you said that Curt Schilling was a Yankees fan! That was the moment you proved your were way too out of touch with your state to actually represent it!
